Duets Scholars at the Riverfront Theatre

Duets scholars from Eveswell, Somerton and Moorland primary schools came together this summer to join the Ballet Cymru Wales Summer Dance courses at The Riverfront Theatre in Newport. For some who have only had one term of ballet training this was a big challenge to join other dancers and perform on stage and we are so proud of them all.

They were taught by the professional dancers of Ballet Cymru and they improved their technique and expanded their vocabulary over the week’s intensive, finishing with a filmed performance of repertoire from the company’s production of Giselle and their own creative work.

We were thrilled to see them take this opportunity throw themselves into the unknown, exciting things ahead for these brave young dancers.
